Straight Answers
There are three apps with almost the same name. What is the actual difference?
RECORD makes videos of your screen. The other two make still images or PDFs of entire web pages.
Between those two: the Full Page Capture desktop app takes a URL you paste in and can also output MP4 scroll video; the Chrome extension captures the tab you are already looking at, which is the only one of the three that can capture pages behind a login.
Do I have to buy all three separately?
No. There is one licence for everything. A $29.99 two-seat key unlocks RECORD, the Full Page Capture desktop app and the Chrome extension, and you can spread your seats across the three apps and across Windows, macOS and Chrome however you like.
Which ones put a watermark on my files?
The two full-page capture products do when unlicensed — the desktop app on JPG, PDF and MP4, and the extension on PNG and PDF.
RECORD never watermarks anything. Its free tier limits a single recording to ten minutes instead.
What does a 'seat' mean?
One activation. A two-seat licence gives you two activations, which you can use on two machines, or on one machine plus Chrome, or across two different apps — the seats are not tied to a particular product.
Is any of this a subscription?
No. Every licence is a single charge with no renewal, and updates are included for life.
Do any of them upload my screen or my files anywhere?
No. All three run entirely on your own machine and write to your own disk. There is no account, no cloud storage and no processing server.
Can I try before paying?
Yes, and there is no trial clock. Every app is fully functional for free — the paid key removes the watermark on the two capture apps and the ten-minute cap on RECORD.
I bought a licence before RECORD existed. Does it cover RECORD?
